Creating Safe and Vibrant Places to Socialize

The City of Stockton is participating in the Responsible Hospitality Institute's Hospitality Zone Assessment and Leadership Summit on Hospitality, Safety and Development.

Recognizing that Stockton faces challenges of balancing growth, development and increasing demand for more dining and entertainment options, a decision was made to explore establishing a process to anticipate impacts of creating a more vibrant nighttime economy.

One tool offered by RHI to assist communities work toward consensus and establish a collaborative alliance among hospitality, safety, development and community organizations is the Hospitality Zone Assessment. There are four stages and the links on this site will guide you through the process. As events are organized, check back to access updates on participation and results.

Upcoming Events:

On April 2-3 the Responsible Hospitality Institute (RHI) facilitated the Community Engagement Forum. The purpose of the Engagement is to collect preliminary data and meet with leaders from hospitality, safety, development and community organizations to plan the Roundtables. Completed

On May 9-10, a series of four Roundtables will be held with a larger network of stakeholders to formulate recommendations for an action plan. Completed

On June 7 a final Leadership Summit will be held to develop an implementation schedule. Completed
